Who we are: Buzzba Inc. ("Buzzba," "we," "us"). This privacy policy covers the Buzzba Breeze laundry management platform. Any personal data collected through your use of the platform is processed in accordance with this policy and governed by the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Information We Collect

To provide you with our services, we collect the following information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and business name.
  • Order data: Customer names, phone numbers, order details, and order status (entered by the business).
  • Usage data: Login times, feature usage, device info, and IP addresses to help us secure and improve our application.
  • Payment information: Processed directly through our third-party payment providers. We do not store sensitive payment information on our servers.
  • SMS data: Customer phone numbers used explicitly for SMS delivery via Africastalking.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the Buzzba Breeze service.
  • Send automated SMS notifications to your end-customers regarding their order status.
  • Improve our product, fix bugs, and develop new features.
  • Communicate with you regarding account details, service updates, and support inquiries.
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under Ghanaian law.

SMS-Specific Privacy

End-customer phone numbers collected through the platform are used solely for order status notifications. SMS messages are delivered through Africastalking, a trusted third-party provider. Customers may opt out of SMS notifications by directly contacting the laundry shop they patronized. We strictly do not use customer phone numbers for marketing purposes.

Data Sharing

We value your privacy. We do NOT sell your data. We only share data with necessary third-party service providers to facilitate the service:

  • Africastalking: For SMS delivery.
  • Payment Processors: For billing and subscription management.
  • Hosting Providers: Secure cloud infrastructure (Fly.io, Neon, Vercel).

We may also share data if legally obligated to do so by a valid Ghanaian court order or law enforcement request.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure hosted by providers such as Neon PostgreSQL and Fly.io. All data is encrypted in transit using strict HTTPS/TLS protocols, and encrypted at rest. Access to production data is strictly limited to authorized engineering personnel subject to confidentiality protocols. We conduct regular security monitoring and practices to maintain data integrity.

Your Rights (Under Ghana Data Protection Act)

Under the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:

  • Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to request deletion: Request erasure of your data under certain circumstances.
  • Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent at any time (which may affect service availability).

Data Retention

We retain your active account data for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, your data (including customer lists and history) will be permanently removed from our active systems within 90 days. SMS delivery logs are retained for a period of 12 months for service quality and diagnostic purposes, after which they are securely deleted.

Children's Privacy

Buzzba Breeze is a B2B service intended for business operators who are legal adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age.
